Children

UKV is an amazing place for children. For such a small church, we have a surprising number of young families, young at heart families, and young children. (Out of a usual attendance of forty adults, we will often have ten children!) Sunday school is a place for play, creativity, and love. Our children are taught religion without fear -- respecting life, love, spirit, and all religious paths.

Most Sunday's include a Children's Lesson by our Pastoral Leader, Sky Kershner.

Joyful Child

Honoring my own inner, joyful child, I breathe life into my dreams.

The exuberance of children is unmistakable at Christmas. Children perform in pageants or sing carols, bake cookies or make homemade presents. They write lists that include all their special wishes. The most precious moments for adults often happen while catching the reflection of joy and wonder in a child�s eyes.

I, too, remember what it was like to behold the world with a childlike sense of excitement and anticipation. I remember the tender moments in my own childhood. That innocent, hopeful part of me has not fallen away; it is an integrated part of my spiritual whole.

Children have an incredible capacity to inspire others with their joy. Inspired, I breathe life into my dreams and ignite the experience of joy in my life.
